About our Owner & Founder
Kelly Burke, the owner and founder of The Educator’s Closet holds a degree in Child and Family Development from San Diego State University and has 5+ years of experience in the classroom. Kelly has always had a passion for teaching and supporting others, but everything shifted after Kelly became a parent. She found herself reevaluating her career path, unsure of how to transition out of education or if she was even qualified to do so.
That uncertainty sparked something bigger - a calling to help fellow educators facing the same crossroads. Kelly realized that while teachers and educators are experts at building others up, they often forget to brand and market themselves. That’s why she created The Educator’s Closet, a space dedicated to empowering educators to recognize their unique strengths, build personal brands, and confidently pursue new professional opportunities outside (or alongside) the classroom.
With a successful career in education and an expertise in personal branding strategy, Kelly has combined her passion for teaching with a deep understanding of how professionals build visibility and authority in today’s world.
